Tania Ledger was inspired to commission a website Cavalier Matters after the devastating news that both of her Cavaliers (Molly and Dougall, pictured) were afflicted by Chiari-like Malformation and Syringomyelia (CMSM), an often painful, debilitating and incurable disease.

In a short space of time the project has grown and now Cavalier Matters is a registered charity and benefits from the expertise of Margaret Carter and Carol Fowler who are Trustees. A recent development is the additional fund raising enterprise – the Cavalier Matters Charitable Shop. which raises money for Cavaliers in rescue and research into genetic diseases such as CMSM.
Tania is an extremely energetic campaigner who attends various canine and companion animal exhibitions to raise awareness of CMSM and other genetic diseases affecting Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Advice is given to Cavalier owners and members of the public who are thinking of buying a Cavalier puppy.
